Here are some photos taken recently (May 2017) at the historic Peterborough Printing Works in Peterborough, South Australia. The “Peterborough Times” newspaper was printed from 1891 and continued until the early 1970’s. Later the office was used for general printing only.
The office closed in 2001 but has been kept in its original form since then. It was just as though the printer had gone out for lunch and had never returned!
This historic print shop “museum” is cared for by the Peterborough History Group and is well worth a visit if you are in the area. Open Wednesday/Thursday/Friday 10am-1pm.
